Understanding PRP Treatment Options For Overall Sexual Wellness

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatments are highly personal, as the injectable fluid is derived from your own blood. Once developed, the concentration of platelets and growth factors is injected into intimate tissue, addressing sexual dysfunction by activating your body’s natural healing and regenerative potential. The goal is to support improved circulation, tissue health, sensitivity, and function.

The O-Shot (For Women)

If you have vaginal health concerns, O-shot sessions can set you on the path to recovery without relying on invasive surgery or regular oral medications. After we create an injection derived from your own blood, we’ll administer it directly to your clitoral region and upper vaginal wall. The growth factors will work to stimulate new blood vessel formation, tissue regeneration, and improved nerve sensitivity.

The Benefits

  • Easier sexual arousal from increased sensitivity and responsiveness in the area.
  • Better lubrication that results in more comfortable physical intimacy.
  • More frequent orgasms that are intense and free from pain.
  • Reduced incontinence from improved bladder control.
  • Less painful intercourse, even if you have menopause or a health condition.
  • Improved vaginal rejuvenation for those interested in maintaining long-term health.

The P-Shot (For Men)

If you’re experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation, changes in sexual performance, or other erectile difficulties, the P-shot is a natural remedy. Your PRP injection is administered directly into targeted areas of the penis to support improved circulation, nerve sensitivity, and sexual function—without changing testosterone levels.

The Benefits

  • Reduced erectile dysfunction (ED) by supporting better blood flow for stronger, firmer, longer-lasting erections.
  • Increased stamina in individuals who typically struggle with ED.
  • Improved satisfaction from enhanced sensitivity and sexual responsiveness.
  • Natural tissue repair without relying on testosterone boosters, stimulants, or other products that come with more side effects.
  • Overall sexual wellness and balance through added, natural regeneration.

Coming to The Clinic: What to Expect

When you meet with us to discuss your O-Shot or P-Shot, we’ll provide all the essential information you need and answer any questions you have. Both non-invasive procedures are designed for comfort and minimal downtime while boosting overall wellness.

Blood Draw

10–20 ml of blood is taken from the arm.

PRP Preparation

The blood is centrifuged to isolate PRP and form the injectable. Your treatment may be activated with calcium chloride before injection.

Numbing

A topical and/or local anesthetic is applied to the treatment area; the clitoris and vaginal wall for the O-Shot, or the glans and shaft of the penis for the P-Shot.

Injection

Using a fine needle, the PRP treatment is injected into targeted tissues:

  • O-Shot: Clitoris and anterior vaginal wall (near the G-spot).
  • P-Shot: Glans and shaft, often with ultrasound guidance.

Recovery

While there is no downtime, here are our post-treatment recommendations:

  • O-Shot: Resume normal activities (including intercourse) within 4 hours. Minor swelling or spotting typically resolves in 1–6 days.
  • P-Shot: Resume activities within 24–48 hours. Minor side effects such as bruising or swelling usually resolve within a few days.

Am I a Good Candidate For PRP Treatments?

If you struggle with sexual dysfunction, including an inability to get aroused or pain and discomfort during intercourse, these treatments are a great option. Both the O-Shot and P-Shot are created using your own blood, making side effects and allergic reactions rare. During your initial consultation with Dr. Patel, we’ll identify if you’re a good candidate based on your sexual health and family history.

Please let Dr. Patel know if you:

  • Have vulvodynia or vaginismus, as most people with these conditions are not suitable for treatment.
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy.
  • Have a bleeding disorder, take blood-thinning medications, or bruise easily.
  • Have an active infection, rash, or unexplained irritation in the treatment area.
  • Have a history of certain autoimmune conditions that may affect healing.
  • Currently take medications or have lifestyle factors that may impact circulation or sexual function.

While these sexual wellness treatments are generally safe and natural, it’s also essential to understand that results vary from person to person, and success cannot be guaranteed. We’ll develop a personalized plan to achieve the best possible results.
